What Is PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification?
If you’ve spent time in project management circles, you’ve undoubtedly seen the letters PMP following the names of many well-known project managers. So what is PMP in project management, and what is a Project Management Professional? The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI), is recognized worldwide. It is highly regarded as it takes considerable effort and skill to earn. The PMP certification is closely connected to the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and is also known for its relevance since it must be renewed every three years. A certain number of educational Professional Development Units are required each year to maintain certification.
